If you are curious as to what the hubbub about Harry Potter is all about but are too lazy to read the books or watch the movies, then maybe you should read the Lucy Knisley Harry Potter comics. Knisley is nearly finished illustrating the entire Harry Potter series, which is set to appear soon in the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art.
These abridged versions of Harry Potter tell the story of the first five books using a minimum of dialog and a lot of pictures. As someone who has never read a Harry Potter book, I cannot comment on the accuracy of these comics, but I they are expertly drawn and pretty damn funny to read even for a Harry Potter neophyte like myself.
