Fear of God Debuts the Cozy 'Los Feliz' Shoe with Birkenstock

Fear of God is working with Birkenstock to launch the new ‘Los Feliz,’ a cozy slide-on shoe made with premium wool and suede materials. The release sees the all-new silhouette dressed in two colorways: a gray-ish beige suede material and a wool felt iteration. The shoes are meant to evoke a sense of comfort, feelings of being in the Los Angeles hillsides, and an appreciation for the simple things in life, like walking.

“I chose to use the name for this Birkenstock project because it is one of the rare neighborhoods in LA where you don’t really need a car,” he explained the naming behind the design, adding, “you can walk from place to place, from the coffee shop to the store, and it is livable on foot. The design speaks to that lifestyle as well as the lifestyle of Los Angeles more broadly so it felt right to put the two together.”

The ‘Los Feliz’ Fear of God and Birkenstock collaboration launches on January 25 at the former’s website.
