19th Century-Inspired Wristwatches

Hodinkee Launches Vintage 'Longines Heritage Classic' Timepiece

New York-based watch retailer Hodinkee has announced the launch of the 'Longines Heritage Classic Limited Edition' timepiece -- a one-of-kind wristwatch that draws inspiration from the chronometers of the early 1900s.

Of course, Hodinkee transforms the classic 19th chromometer model, giving it a stylish, contemporary upgrade. As a result, The Longines Heritage Classic is delivered in a 38.5mm brushed stainless steel case that is attached to a "beads-of-rice" bracelet. As for movement, the timepiece is powered by a modified ETA A31.501, named the L893.4. Here the typical Longines automatic movement has been revamped with a new silicon balance providing the watch with an impressive 72-hour power reserve.

Limited to a total of just 500 units -- each of which are individually numbered -- the Longines Heritage Classic is being promoted by the brand as a must-have exclusive collector's piece.
