LLM Shield enables companies to secure their proprietary source code, private customer information, unreleased financial data, legal documents, and board reports from exposure through LLMs. As a resource for enterprise protection and compliance, LLM Shield is set to introduce additional data checks and product offerings throughout the year, including a personal version.
The recent Samsung data leak to ChatGPT highlights the security risks of using LLMs, which led to several major banks banning ChatGPT to minimize the chances of confidential and personal identifying information being leaked. LLM Shield aims to address these concerns by providing free sensitive data checks for companies and professionals in various industries. It also offers an open-source digital security tool designed to prevent employees from accidentally sharing sensitive data while working with LLMs, thus minimizing the risk of losing competitive advantage, reputational damage, financial losses, and legal ramifications.
LLM Shield features multiple layers of protection and an adaptable design with flexible deployment options, such as Google Workspace Chrome plugins and advanced VPN integrations. Founder Wayne Chang believes that with visibility and control, companies should be able to use LLMs more confidently. LLM Shield currently supports sensitive data across various industries and can be deployed through its Google Chrome Plugin, with support for other deployments, such as VPN and Proxy support, coming soon.
