The French high fashion brand Lanvin is taking its own approach to practical footwear with the Lanvin Tall Hiking boot. The boot has all the traditional characteristics of a hiking boot with the thick sole, rounded toe and five prong laces, but Lanvin has done much to distinguish this item stylistically as well with a “double crossover plastic wrap covering the lacing system as well as a lizard trim contrast on the rubber lug sole,” as described on Slamxhype.
The Lanvin Tall Hiking boot is part of the Fall/Winter 2011 collection. This is a great addition to men’s footwear especially in a market so saturated by similar looking pieces. Like the Maison Martin Margiela Two-Toned Leather boot, this boot has gone a different route to the class boot and added its own two tones with the added strap for more flavor. This boot is practical and a rugged approach to their classic boot.
