To celebrate their 120th anniversary, luxury clothing line Lanvin released this tote bag. While only 20 are available, exclusively at Isetan Men’s in Shinjuku, one has to wonder what Lanvin's thoughts on this project were.

Perhaps Lanvin was going with the old "less is more" motto, or sensitivity toward the recession, since the understated bag has a grey leather base, red leather strap and subtle Lanvin logos.

While this bag can easily be worn by everyone, that could be its curse too. Most major fashion houses throw a big blowout for special anniversaries. Could more be planned?
