JVC's Quad Proof Everio GZ-R450 is an ultra-rugged camcorder which, in addition to providing improved battery life and performance, is also dust-proof, waterproof, drop-proof and freeze-proof.
The camera is equipped with a 40x optical zoom Konica Minolt lens which offers 40.5-mm to 1620-mm equivalent focal lengths. It is paired with a 1/5.8-inch 2.5-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS image sensor. The processor is the same as that used in JVC's professional 4K cameras.
The GZ-R450 has an internal battery for greater water resistance, offers five hours of use and can be used in conjunction with a portable battery. It is capable of shooting 10-megapixel stills and time lapse videos, and is equipped with digital image stabilization. These features in addition to Quad Proof protection make this camera a worthy photographic device for any environment.
