The Glow-in-the-Dark Powerbeats Were Inspired by Neon-Lit Streets

Yoon, the Korean-American designer behind the label Ambush, has embarked on another collaboration, this time releasing a limited-edition glow-in-the-dark Powerbeats. The unique headphones were inspired by the neon-clad streets of Shibuya where the artist lives. As a result, the headphones help to complete an atmosphere and aesthetic for the listener, making music a more holistic expression and experience.

In a press release, Yoon states that “I thought it would be really cool to design a product that could capture [Shibuya's] energy when you’re outside late at night listening to music. This collaboration was designed for everyone who is confident, having fun, being creative and trying new things — those kids always seem to glow the brightest.”
