Astrohaus has introduced the Freewrite Wordrunner, the latest addition to its distraction-reducing Freewrite lineup. Revealed at CES, this innovative mechanical keyboard combines sleek design with writer-centric features, all wrapped in a compact tenkeyless frame crafted from sturdy die-cast aluminum.
The Wordrunner includes writer-friendly tools such as dedicated keys for undo/redo, paragraph navigation, and jumping to the top or bottom of a page. Customizable macro keys labeled zap, pow, and bam offer additional flexibility for unique applications. Notably, the unit boasts two electromechanical counters: the Wordometer tracks word count continuously, and a timer with LED indicators helps manage writing sprints or productivity.
Other highlights include an extended wrist rest and the ability to switch seamlessly between up to four devices—three via Bluetooth and one with a USB-C connection.
Astrohaus plans to launch preorders for the Wordrunner through Kickstarter in February 2025.
