Novaclad has launched a free iOS app that lets homeowners use an iPhone to scan their kitchen and get a countertop estimate in around five minutes. Powered by the company’s AI-LiDAR technology, the app can pull pricing from a real countertop catalogue and connect the project with a nearby fabricator. It marks the first consumer-facing product within Novaclad’s Fabrication Cloud.
Once the scan is complete, the app turns the room into measurements that a fabricator can work from, then creates an itemised quote using that shop’s own pricing. This brings measuring, pricing and finding a fabricator into one process rather than requiring homeowners to handle each step separately.
For homeowners, the tool provides a way to start planning a countertop project before arranging an in-person visit. The final fabrication still takes place through a local shop, but the initial stages can now be handled digitally from a phone.
