Facebook Adds Tools for Public Figures to Manage Interactions

Facebook has created new tools for public figures on the platform, which are aimed at promoting engagement with public figures and their respective fans. One of the new tools for public figures will allow multiple public figures to post to one Facebook Story. The other new tool will recommend public figures to different Facebook users through the news feed. Recommendations will be derived from previous content on the platform that users interacted with. Facebook will also add Fan Reply Stickers, which will give the ability to prompt users to reply to a story.

Allowing public figures to have a more streamlined process to interact with fans will bring more traffic to the platform. As many fans crave interactions with influential people, the new tools could be an asset to the platform.
