Sportswear giant Nike has announced the launch of its latest apparel innovation, a breakthrough technology called FIT ADV. The new technology will join other familiar labels under Nike's FIT category, which stands for Functional Innovative Technologies, such as Dri-FIT and Storm-FIT.
Described by the company as the “new pinnacle of Nike apparel performance,” FIT ADV is designed with sport-specific tailoring functions that emphasize athletic movement. The brand will utilize the new technology in several of its lines, from lifestyle collections to performance-based pieces.
“It’s the ability to get incredibly specific and prescriptive about where technologies need to be, and then to have a little fun with how those technologies show up — say, highlighting the cooling zones with a pop of color, which, visually, can be compelling and beautiful," said Nike’s VP of Apparel Innovation, Janet Nichol's, referencing the endless applications for FIT ADV.
