Lacoste's Latest Collection Features the Work of Felipe Oliveira Baptista

Designer Felipe Oliveira Baptista presented his latest collection for Lacoste during New York Fashion Week. The Spring/Summer 2015 runway show featured a mix of graphic athleticwear and structured separates that were a departure from the label's iconic polo shirt garments.

While Lacoste's classic polo didn't completely disappear from the runway stage, Felipe Oliveira Baptista version of the garment was more sophisticated than sporty.

In addition to its sleek polos, graphic tees and structured separates, Lacoste's latest collection also featured graphic jersey looks that were a fresher take on a classic athletic uniform. The pieces played with proportion and featured visually bold typography details. Overall, the garments embraced fashion's current sportswear obsession but did so in an unexpected way.
