Bandit is a personal trainer, and also a robot. This exercising robot was developed by researches at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. Bandit is part of professor Maja Mataric’s lab, which specializes in creating socially assistive robots.

Bandit the exercising robot uses vocal encouragement and articulating arms to help get people active. Bandit’s vocal cues can come off a little sarcastic but the exercising robot means well, and good intentions and encouragement are all anyone really needs from a personal trainer. Right?
