The shoot was styled by Ayaka Sato, who describes her fashion choices as “elegant yet vulnerable [...] supposed to be worn on a naked body, but I intended to use a lot of sheer materials and slits.” She goes on to mention that she chose vulnerability because she "notice[s] the sense of fragility in the world. I think that is the moment that I wanted to capture."
To be vulnerable is to be "susceptible to physical or emotional attack or harm." However, this definition ignores the strength it takes willingly open up, leaving ourselves susceptible to whatever forces may come our way. In love and relationships, the ability to be vulnerable may, in fact, be the key to success.
