The waistline measurement is a clue for determining a person's overall health, making the Emiota Belty a clever invention. On the surface, it presents itself as a handy automatic-adjusting accessory, enabling you to overeat and remain comfortable. However, what you might expect to get from this contraption is a gadget that encourages you to eat the right foods and to get sufficient exercise.
The Emiota Belty is equipped with tons of tiny monitors and sensors that determine your size and discern any strain. An integrated gyroscope and accelerator can tell how much you've moved, and the fitness band will give you a jolt if you haven't gotten up from your seat in a while. The prototype was presented at CES 2014, but it will be interesting to see how it continues to develop alongside its health tracker app.
