The Portuguese brand 'Josefina's Rose Couture' created embroidered sneakers by hand that add delicate imagery to otherwise classic shoes.
The sneakers' relatively high price tags are worth it when one realizes the effort that goes into making the designs they feature. The shoes were inspired by the Portuguese art of embroidery and are created by embroiderers from the Sousa Valley who learned the practice when it was passed down between generations. The sneakers come with a simple white design that can be dressed up or down and feature hand-embroidered images of roses on their sides -- which take several hours to create.
These embroidered sneakers offer a quirky botanical interpretation of a type of shoe that is currently very popular, but could use a refreshing change.
