Luxury goods brand Dunhill has launched a limited edition men's jewelry collection titled 'Transmission.' The high-end collection takes inspiration from the brand's automotive heritage, drawing its designs from the look of a car gearbox.
The collection includes a bracelet, ring, and necklace, with each piece being made and hand-finished in France. In order to achieve the gear-like look consistent across all three pieces, Dunhill digitally milled this ridge pattern into 18k white or yellow gold. At the heart of this project was the idea of creating a tactile connection between customers and the brand's motor history.
“I wanted to create something beautiful from something unexpected, that embraces our legacy in fine jewelry and craftsmanship,” said Creative Director Mark Wenson, who turned to car parts and their intricate details for inspiration.
