In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, many are celebrating Dr. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, with products paying tribute to the medical hero. Notably, Custom Face Designs launched a pair of socks with the famed doctor's face adorned across them.
The inspiration behind these Dr. Fauci-themed socks come from the man's growing fandom. As noted by Jermaine Cooper, one of Custom Face Designs' owners, "I am making [the socks] because I love Dr. Fauci and he is a sign of hope for all of us and a trusted adviser." So far, the family-owned business has sold almost 100 pairs of the Dr. Fauci socks in only two days.
