The Diver and Aguilar 'Colorama' editorial explores the aesthetic of boldly chromatic designs without reservation.
Though clashing colors have certainly made their presence felt both on the runway and on the street in recent years, such looks are still more of a fashion statement rather than mainstream de rigueur. Diver & Aguilar seek to explore why this is.
On their Behance page, the London-based photography duo point out that bright colorful clothing has been a mainstay of traditional African clothing since time immemorial. In contrast, Westerners are inundated with cheap, mass produced clothing, often in the tradition of more reserved color palettes.
Interestingly though, the editorial was photographed in Whitechapel Road U.K. and used British citizens as models wearing Italian suits.
