As if denim tuxedos were not bad enough, we now have to reckon with the force that is causing rednecks of the Deep South and Dolly Parton’s alike to hoot and holler with delight: high heeled denim shoes.
Boots being one of the top trends for fall ’09, it comes as no surprise that some designers would carve out their own niche in the massive world of footwear, catering to the Jessica Simpsons of the world who rock the well-worn Western style, with jewel-encrusted and appliqued versions giving them even more reason to rejoice.
It does come as a surprise, however, that prestigious labels such as Chanel and Manolo Blahnik would choose to participate in this ghastly trend.
