Cheeseburger-Inspired Soups

Progresso Turns Bacon Cheeseburgers Into Canned Soup

Progresso is expanding cheeseburger-inspired soups with a Pitmaster variety that transforms a familiar cookout meal into a convenient canned format. The new Charbroiled Bacon Cheeseburger Soup combines beef patty crumbles, smoky bacon, potatoes and cheddar cheese, delivering the flavors associated with a grilled cheeseburger without the traditional bun. Each can also contains 16 grams of protein. The launch arrives alongside Grilled Chicken Bacon Ranch Soup, developed with Hidden Valley Ranch and offering 15 grams of protein per can.

For Progresso, these additions broaden its Pitmaster range beyond conventional soup profiles by drawing inspiration from recognizable barbecue and comfort foods. Familiar flavors can help the brand attract consumers looking for heartier meal options while differentiating its canned offerings in the soup aisle. The Hidden Valley partnership also gives Progresso an established flavor identity that can generate recognition across both brands’ audiences.
