A desk does not necessarily strike its paper quota within its drawers an on the surface, as the Cardboard Desk by Savio Ku is actually made entirely from pasteboard.
The lightweight piece of furniture was created by the Portsmouth University student of 3D design in a way that takes the 2D quality of the material into a full-formed object in the third dimension. This particular project is the result of a final assignment which presumably required quite a bit of painstaking computer rendering accompanied with the execution of scale models. The polished product reveals the Cardboard Desk by Savio Ku in all if its raw glory, complete with flatpack pop-out shelves, stiff connections and a form that's robust enough to support the weight of a computer.
