Making candied nuts is very simple with the bulk of the work being making the sauce that hardens into a candy shell. The sauce is made using natural sweeteners such as coconut and maple sugar topped with cinnamon, egg whites, water, vanilla and salt to contrast the sugary ingredients. The ingredients are turned into a thick sauce and then poured over the pecans that are baked in the oven.
