The Burberry Fall 2011 campaign shot by famed fashion photographer Mario Testino epitomizes the age-old adage "less is more" with its elegant and tasteful simplicity. While modern high fashion lookbooks tend to veer towards complex scenery, staging and styling to make the clothes stand out, Testino clearly understands that in the case of the Burberry collection, both the clothes and the models speak for themselves.
Models Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne maintain a level of chemistry throughout the shoot that is convincing and captivating and their looks blend perfectly with the theme of the collection.
Testino, who has shot for virtually every international edition of Vogue, shoots the '60s-inspired outerwear under simple studio lights that are dim and make the clothes the focal point of the shoot. Simple yet striking, the collection and the shoot are both works of art.
