The bubble art of Luka Fineisen, a German artist based between Cologne, Germany, and San Francisco, California, is something that will transport people back to their childhood in an instant. Bringing to mind the big soap bubbles of street performers, these ephemeral sculptures look as though they will pop at any given moment. In reality, however, the bubble art is not made out of soap and water, but instead plastic.
An impressive feat, the bubble art has been carefully crafted to reflect the iridescent quality of such substances. The way the sculptures reflect light gives the impression that they truly are made out of such organic materials. Resting on the floor, the bubble art is given a different perspective.
