Spring/Summer 2009 just got a bit more cheery thanks to designers like Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez and Michael Kors. While tone on tone layers of black clothing are very much a trend that continues on, bright pink seems to be lighting up even the darkest of closets.

Marc Jacobs seemed particularly fond of the look, showing a voluminous coat in the colour, as well as a long sleeved dress. Michael Kors showed a beautiful, bright pink strapless dress, and Narciso showed a calmer pink in a dress as well.

So, lighten up for summer, and put on some pink.
