Sportswear giant Reebok has teamed up with Japanese fashion label Mountain Research to launch the 'Beatnik Sandal.' The new sandal features a premium brown leather upper, which is adorned with unique embroidery that evokes the styles of vintage cowboy aesthetics from the 1970s.
The Beatnik Sandal features a rubber outsole on the bottom, while its midfoot comes equipped with an adjustable strap. In addition, what make's this sandal even more unique is that it comes fitted with a prominent center seam, which serves to divide the silhouette down the middle.
“Reebok’s Beatnik has an eye-catching center seam and functional strap that, in my view, presents a new generation of sandals,” says Mountain Research founder Setsumasa Kobayashi. “I am honored to have worked with the Reebok team and have the ability to apply Mountain Research designs to the silhouette.”
