Atlassian Unveils its Rovo AI Assistant at Team ’24 Europe

At the Team ’24 Europe event in Barcelona, Atlassian officially announced the general availability of Rovo, its AI-powered assistant, to enhance user workflows with advanced search and AI-driven tools.

Rovo’s core functionality revolves around Rovo Search, which integrates data from Atlassian’s key products such as Jira and Confluence. It also supports third-party SaaS tools and offers Rovo Chat for users to ask questions and receive insights from the aggregated data. A newly introduced browser extension further enhances this experience, enabling users to access Rovo’s capabilities from any web page.

An innovative aspect of Rovo Search is its ability to factor in social signals when ranking search results. The most promising of all the developments are Rovo Agents, which epitomize Atlassian’s vision for intelligent automation within its ecosystem. These AI-driven agents are designed to manage routine and repetitive tasks, freeing employees to focus on more strategic initiatives. Currently, there are around 20 agents available, offering various capabilities to streamline company operations.
