Karl Lagerfeld photographs supermodel and Lagerfeld favorite Freja Beha Erichsen for Vogue Germany's editorial 'Asta Nielsen.' The pictorial is one of the fashion features in Vogue Germany's 30th anniversary issue and recreates the vampy allure of 1920s silent film star Asta Nielsen.
Karl Lagerfeld's current model muse, Baptiste Giabiconi, also makes an appearance in the austere black and white shoot. The models wear designs by Moschino, Dior and Chanel.
Implications - The fashions of certain historic time periods still holds incredible influence in modern fashion, art and entertainment. In particular, fashions that stem from the beginnings of the film and media age hold influence as a result of iconic historic figures whose celebrated styles are still admired by the masses.
