Geometric Sci-Fi Villain Visages

Ashraf Omar Uses Intricate Shapes to Depict Star Wars Badasses

Even though there’s countless Star Wars-inspired art in existence, Ashraf Omar still manages to depict the likes of Darth Maul, Boba Fett, Darth Vader, Stormtroopers and General Grievous in a unique way. Using a myriad of geometric patterns, the Tampin, Malaysia-based artist is able to convey the contours of each villain’s face and space helmet. Viewers are thus treated to images that appear rather alien even though the characters are familiar to most guys.

To craft these images, Ashraf Omar used digital software and vectors. It’s rare that a sterile aesthetic helps to amplify artwork, but these images are made that much more badass because of its perfect precision.

You can expect more characters to join this collection shortly as Omar has deemed this series an on-going project.
