Jack Daniel's introduced its American Single Malt Whiskey, a 90-proof expression made from 100% malted barley and produced at the Lynchburg distillery, featuring Lincoln County sugar maple charcoal mellowing and a finish in oloroso sherry casks. The whiskey presents a deep mahogany-amber color and a palate shaped by both American oak and sherry cask influence.
The spirit was aged in new, charred American oak before finishing in oloroso sherry casks and follows the American single malt standards for mashing, distillation and aging. Jack Daniel's initially sold the selection in 1-liter duty-free bottles in 2023; it will be available nationwide in limited amounts starting fall 2026 and has a suggested 1-liter retail price of $74.99.
Tasters note pronounced dried-fruit, toffee and milk-chocolate notes balanced by nutty, smoky and slightly salty savoriness, giving the whiskey a sweet, velvety texture. That approachable sweetness and smooth mouthfeel make it an easy sipper or cocktail base, and it joins Jack Daniel's permanent portfolio as a distinct American single malt option.
