G-Star RAW has launched a new AI-designed denim collection that features 12 cape apparel designs. G-Star RAW CMO Gwenda van Vilet spoke about the collection: "Innovation is ingrained in the G-Star DNA. We believe in giving our fashion designers the freedom to bring their dreams through AI. While anyone could make a design using AI, at G-Star RAW, we have the craftsmanship to make those designs into real garments."
The collection was designed through the AI app, Midjourney, in which the design team curated different styles, fits, and design innovations. The collection features several avant-gardes denim apparel that looks futuristic and non-conventional. A standout item in the collection is the featured denim cape design with an oversized Japanese kimono look. Other items in the collection also have a dramatic flare. Nevertheless, the collection contains high-level craftsmanship to pull off the transition from AI-designed apparel to physical pieces. The collection will be displayed at the G-Star Raw Antwerp store.
