AI-Powered Food Intelligence Platforms

WISEcode Analyzes Ingredients and Competitor Products

WISEcode is introducing AI-powered food intelligence platforms that allow food and beverage companies to examine their products at the ingredient level and compare them with competing brands. Its new WISEcode Intelligence beta combines detailed food research with a conversational AI assistant, helping businesses identify nutritional differences and potential product improvements.

The platform draws on the Food Genome Project, which connects 267,130 ingredient terms found on American food labels to 8,631 underlying ingredients. Companies can assess processing levels, nutritional characteristics, regulatory information, and ingredient quality. The system also highlights substitutions that could improve product scores and identifies opportunities within competitive categories.

For food manufacturers, these capabilities support more informed product development and reformulation decisions. Competitive comparisons can help brands distinguish their offerings, while ingredient transparency provides additional insight into consumer-facing product evaluations ahead of the platform's planned 2027 release.
