Hands-On AI Fundamentals Courses

CompTIA Offers Foundational AI Literacy and Practical Skills

CompTIA, a globally recognized provider of vendor-neutral IT certifications, has introduced a new educational offering called AI Fundamentals. This hands-on course is designed to equip students across all academic disciplines with foundational AI literacy and practical skills for an increasingly AI-driven workforce.

The AI Fundamentals curriculum is structured as a three-credit program that requires approximately 50 to 56 hours of time from students. The educational offering is explicitly intended for non-technical learners, requiring no prior coding or deep technical expertise. The course content covers a comprehensive range of topics, including understanding how generative AI works conceptually, designing and refining effective prompts, critically evaluating AI-generated outputs for accuracy and bias, and applying AI tools to real-world academic and workplace tasks such as writing, research, and analysis.
