The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a global shortage of life-saving facial mask, and to combat this issues WASP has created an open-source project, dubbed 'MY FACE MASK.' The process requires a 3D scanner — or smartphone if necessary— to scan the face and create a customize protective mask that's perfectly ergonomic. This ensures the mask follows the facial features of each individual wearer like a second skin.
Made from the bioplastic material, PCL (Polycaprolactone), the MY FACE MASK can be used for direct skin contact and can be easily sanitized and reused. It features an interchangeable, replaceable filter at the central part of the mask to reduce the spread of the virus.
