If you have enough riches to have this dress then you are one of the members of Walton family. This very expensive dress worth £2.4m was designed by Thomas Heverin of Sligo and was specially made for the launch by Appleby's. It is encrusted with 4,000 diamonds which takes 200 hours to hand sew each.

Implications - The glamorization of weddings often inspires brides to go all out on their special day. Companies have been able to profit on this idea by using it as a selling point to convince brides to purchase expensive items that they'll only have for one day. That's the trade-off, but these businesses also provides by pulling off elegantly extravagant pieces that are supposed to be worth the money. The media's influence on going all out for special events will always promote materialism which benefits companies who specialize in entertaining events.
