A sustainability enthusiast, raised on veggie gardens, camping, hiking and a deep respect for nature in Upstate New York. Steve is currently working full-time as a healthcare practitioner, part time as a writer, and looking to reverse that ratio. After spending hours on the road, watching gas prices climb, he became interested in peak-oil and wanted to reduce his impact on the earth.

He now is working to re-localize his community and help others to live energy efficient and self-sufficient lives. Steve is learning about sustainable building practices as he, his wife, and his father upgrade a 1950's home to 2010 specs. He believes that taking small steps can have a big impact over a lifetime.
