I'm a Creative Director, with a Digital Art-Directon background, working at an ad agency in Downtown Toronto. Prior to joining the business of Advertising, I used to work as a Visual Effects Artist & 3D Animator on movies such as Resident Evil , Dawn of the Dead , and Cube Zero . I'm also a professionally trained voice-actor, and for 1 semester I've taught as a Graphic Design as a professor at Humber College.
Now I'll be the first to admit, that I'm not the best illustrator - but I can draw / sketch something down on paper enough to convey an idea. As a Creative Director, you gotta be adept at storytelling, a skill that requires “high concept” aptitudes. You need the capacity to detect patterns and opportunities, to create artistic and emotional beauty, to craft a satisfying narrative, and to combine seemingly unrelated ideas into something new.
