8 Ethically Made Toys

From Fair Trade Sri Lankan Toys to Purposeful Plushies:

These ethically made toys range from fair trade crochet toys made by women in Bangladesh to eco-friendly cardboard playhouses. It's particularly interesting to consider how socially conscious companies, businesses, organizations and enterprises work to market their products. How do they sell themselves? Do they focus on the parents' (usually the mother is advertised toward) values and consumer inclinations? Or is this a case of getting them while they're young, as they say?

Ethically made toys may sometimes have in the play itself some sort of humanitarian, social or environment-friendly dimension that is built into the experience for children. Some parents see the act of buying as a learning experience, a way to teach their children about responsibility with regards to consumerism.
