What is unique that's not in your bio?
I'm inquisitive about everything I encounter. I ask questions so I can learn more. Then I write and take photos so I can share what I learn with the world. It's what I love to do!
What's your favorite accomplishment?
I was awarded a scholarship in 2011, as a journalism student, to go to the Amazon rainforest for two weeks and photograph the wildlife. It was the adventure of a lifetime!
How do you define cool?
Cool is something fun and exciting; cool is something that you want to do or to have; cool is something that you definitely want to be a part of!
What is your secret to uncovering trends?
I listen, observe others and I ask questions. This way, I find out about trends directly from the people involved.
What do you enjoy most about Trend Hunter?
I find out about very unusual things that people do and things that people buy. I had never heard of many of them prior to visiting Trend Hunter. This way, I'm exposing myself to areas that are relatively new to me; it's fun!
What is your favorite trend?
It's very difficult to label a particular trend as my favourite. However, since I love the ocean and dolphins, talking to dolphins is probably my favourite trend (part of "62 Unique Underwater Trends").
What are your tips for writing a juicy post?
Keep them short and clear; at the same time, explain why something is becoming a trend.
How do you reset to be creative?
I keep a notebook on me at all times. When I see our hear about something interesting, I always write it down. These notes help me think of creative ideas when I need them.
What inspires or excites you?
Animals, the environment, and people -- especially those people who show a deep passion for something. This inspires me to write, so others can learn about them as well.
Predict something awesome for 2020?
A trend to collect artwork featuring extinct animals. This would remind people to protect the endangered animals of their day.
