The StepGlider Blends Extreme Sports for Sick Roller Skating

The StepGlider is a very interesting play on extreme sports and traveling. Designed by Thomas Van Halewyck as an entry into a competition for the James Dyson Award, the StepGlider is inspired by basic human movement (it looks a little different when in use).

What it really looks like is a pair of inline skates mixed with the idea of skiing (cooperation between arms and legs, poles, etc.). The StepGlider is much easier than skiing as it moves just by walking (as you would normally, but your feet will not leave the ground).

I think it looks sweet, it appears to ride pretty smoothly and it has a very safe brake system. I definitely want one.
