Previously unseen footage of a horrific accident that befell the late Michael Jackson in 1984 has been released in the last 24 hours.
At the time, Michael was singing ‘Billie Jean’ in a simulated concert in front of 3,000 fans. This was being filmed for a TV advert for Pepsi, when, in the sixth take, pyrotechnic special effects exploded too early and set fire to his hair. When he realized what was happening Michael Jackson covered his burning hair with his jacket, but some of the audience still thought it was part of the show.
Michael Jackson was rushed to hospital and treated for second and third degree burns on his face and scalp, which left him with a sizable bald patch that was later treated with laser correction.
