This lovely and warmly-lit one-seat installation is all about experiencing sound. It is made out of a 20-foot shipping container that was filled with layers of fiberboard and compressed-polyester foam panels to cut out noises from the hectic outside designer fair environment. The installation’s purpose is so that one lucky person can enjoy listening to classical music.
The amazing pleasure of sound installation was visited by about 4,000 people over the course of the five days that Tokyo Designers Week lasted. The work is called “KT: the listening room,” and it was created by MAT Studio and Elastik.
