Lonely Girl 15 in “LG 15: The Resistance”

LonelyGirl15, one of the biggest YouTube stars, is launching a spin-off starting September 20.

“LG15: The Resistance” will take the format of a more traditional TV program by releasing new segments on Saturday night. A six minute episode will run every Saturday for 12 weeks. One of the creators said that the daily viewing format for LonelyGirl15 requires a big commitment by fans; a weekly show should be more manageable.

The show will also be supported by advertising which will be integrated within each episode.

“LG15: The Resistance” will debut on Hulu, MySpaceTV, imeem, Veoh and YouTube, with all of those partners guaranteeing promotion and marketing space on their sites.
