Champagne Sandwich Spread

Limited Edition Marmite

What do Marmite and Champagne have in common? Likely nothing if it weren't for the limited edition production of Lover's Marmite containing a hint of champagne.

Launched just in time for Valentines Days, a limited 600,000 heart-shaped containing the peculiar spread were produced. If you were looking for an innovative way to tell her sweet heart how much you care, why not do it by plopping this on the breakfast table? The heart-shaped label says, "I love you," so you can easily spread the romance. (Bad pun, sorry!)

Marmite, for those who don't know, is a by-product of beer brewing yeast extract, made into an intensely bitter spread. It's hated by just about everyone who didn't grow up with it, and loved by those who did. I recommend checking in with your Valentine before presenting this as a gift.

They're selling for between £2.99 and £3.99, (between $6-8) depending where you shop.

Want something really special? 50 ultra limited edition containers were made with a sterling silver lid, the jars created by jewelery designer, Theo Fennel. They're selling for £145 or $284.
