Neil D'Souza is the founder of Zaya, which was formerly known as Teach A Class. He is now a 2013 Echoing Green Fellow. The goal for Zaya is to focus on populations at the base of the pyramid (BoP) and offer personalized education programs. Currently, they work in four countries and five schools and thus reach about 1200 young people.

The innovation itself is through Learning Labs and micro-clouds called "Class Clouds." "CassCloud is a Cloud based Mobile (2G/3G) Wireless toolkit with a Learning System that can run online as well as offline," they explain on their website. "This allows users to connect to these ZAYACloud servers with their mobile phone, tablets, laptops and desktops."
