The staff at American Photo magazine have picked their choices for the best fashion photography work of the past year. The magazine asked 25 fashion publications to submit their three favorite images for the last 12 months. American Photo chose these winning photos which they say all show “a celebration of inventiveness, the most human of traits.” Not surprisingly, the collection of top shots includes pictures of Eva Mendes, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and a boudoir shot of Victoria and David Beckham. The entire selection can be seen on the magazine’s website.  These days, you can find fashion everywhere, from television to the Internet, but the primary medium of fashion remains the magazine, which allows editors, designers, stylists, models, and photographers to present couture fantasies in tableaux that can be studied and appreciated as art and commerce.
