Customizing products with our own signs is a fashion crossing all kind of things nowadays.
Were you thinking of giving a new look to any of your gadgets? Then you should go for the state of the art engraving, which seems to be now Engrave Your Tech (http://www.engraveyourtech.com).
Engrave is an Oregon based company which offers customized engravings (i.e. you send your own design, they put it on your toy using laser) mostly for laptops and iPods, but I read on their website that any material can be easily market with your own signs.
I have also seen some engraved moleskines, which are great!
Prices go from 25$ for an iPod Shuffle, to 100-150$ for a laptop.
