Cod-Centric QSR Menus

A&W Canada Has Reintroduced Its Popular Wild-Caught Cod Burger and Cod Taco

A&W Canada brings back its popular wild-caught Cod Burger and Cod Taco as limited-time summer menu items. Through this initiative, the QSR chain capitalizes on seasonal demand for lighter, seafood-based fast-food options.

The Cod Burger features lightly battered wild-caught cod with a crispy exterior and flaky texture. It is served on a brioche bun with tartar sauce and coleslaw, while the taco version offers the same filling in a soft tortilla. According to Karan Suri, A&W's Senior Director of Innovation, "[the brand has] seen how much [its] guests have loved the Cod Burger in the past, and [it is] excited to bring it back just in time for summer."

The company emphasizes its use of wild-caught fish and "real and natural ingredients" as part of its broader branding strategy, which positions A&W as a purveyor of higher-quality fast food compared to competitors.
